Advised repair men of the things that was happening with our ac as they started checking to narrow down our problem, then i happened to mention that the light on the thermostat was not coming on anymore and replacing the battery did not change it, he then bypassed the thermostat and the ac came on, so they replaced it and added a larger cover plate to hide the unpainted area, THANKS!!
